This 2006 album, technically credited to the band Daughtry, reveals what the singer opted for instead, offering up impressively catchy, yet requisitely brooding, heavy rock, as best revealed on the emotive "It's Not Over" and the urgent "What I Want," which features former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash.
